Mapluwa is a deep fried pancake. It is eaten in most of the South Asian countries. Every country has their own recipe. Here you will find recipe how it is prepared in Nepal.
Ingredients
1st Recipe:- 1 cup all purpose flour (Maida)
- 1/2 cup Semolina (Suji)
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 300 ml warm water
- (Fennel seeds and Cardamom powder optional)
- Oil to deep fry
- 1 cup all purpose flour (Maida)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 200 ml warm water
- Oil to deep fry
Directions
- Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add water and make a smooth runny paste. Make sure there is no lumps
- Heat oil in a flat surface pan upto medium high
- Take a ladle and pour in the mixture little at a time making a round shape.
- cook for about a minute and a half each side until golden brown.
- Serve it with tea, haluwa and Swari.
